Wedding Photographer Cost: Wedding Bug Studios

Even after my fianc√©e and I had already decided on a wedding photographer, I remember browsing some popular photographers on Wedding Wire one day and came across Wedding Bug Studios. Wedding Bug Studios is a nationwide vendor that strives to be an all-in-one provider. What I mean by this statement is that they want to be your photographer, your videographer, and your DJ. I was immediately intrigued when I went to Wedding Bug Studios’ website, because it was structured like an online store with a menu of items to select and add on. At the end, you could checkout your cart and pay just as if you were shopping for clothes! The reason I liked it so much was because it instantly put the price in front of your face and removed the price secrecy that shrouds a lot of wedding vendors. After all, that’s why I started writing on Wedding Spend – so that people planning for a wedding can read all the price research that I have...

Wedding Photographer Cost: Party Booth NYC

Photo booths should really be under their own category, but I chose to categorize this post under wedding photographers, because it involves pictures. Wedding photo booths are all the rage these days after Apple’s Photo Booth software became popular. For those not familiar with wedding photo booths, it’s probably exactly what you think it is. A physical photo booth with a curtain or cloth cover is set up so that guests can go in (usually in groups) to have their picture taken. Nowadays, props are also provided (think giant sunglasses, fake mustaches, and Mr. Potato Head nose), and the photo booth will snap four pictures with a quick pause between each picture so that guests can contort themselves into the silliest of positions and wear the props in the most ridiculous manner possible. The pictures are then instantly printed so that guests can take them home. It really is great fun, and a fantastic photo booth operator is Party Booth NYC.     Wedding Photographer: Party Booth NYC Date...

Wedding Photographer Cost: Albert Cheung Photography #3

My last two posts analyzed Albert Cheung Photography’s The Essential package and The Elaborate¬†package. His style is self-described as photojournalistic, which is a popular choice these days. If you already have a wedding day photographer selected and only need an engagement shoot photographer, Albert Cheung Photography offers The Engagement package, and here is what the cost breakdown looks like:   Wedding Photographer: Albert Cheung Photography Date Price Quoted: November 2013 Wedding Date Quoted For: N/A Package Name: The Engagement Assistant: No Package Fee: $600 Travel Fee: $0 (within a 50 mile radius) Tax: 0% Gratuity: 0% Total Wedding Photographer Cost: $600   The Main Point The Engagement package includes 2 hours of photography, and you can choose as many shooting locations as you wish. Due to time and travel constraints, however, I wouldn’t recommend choosing more than 2 locations. You also receive 150 retouched photos and as with the wedding day packages, The Engagement package includes all photos delivered electronically and an online gallery to purchase prints and books....

Wedding Photographer Cost: Albert Cheung Photography #2

The Elaborate is Albert Cheung Photography’s higher end package. While slightly more than The Essential package, it does come with more benefits and a second photographer. Here is the cost breakdown for The Elaborate package:   Wedding Photographer: Albert Cheung Photography Date Price Quoted: November 2013 Wedding Date Quoted For: 2013 (Saturday) Package Name: The Elaborate Assistant: Yes (2 photographers total, one of them being Albert Cheung) Package Fee: $5,000 Travel Fee: $0 (within a 50 mile radius) Tax: 0% Gratuity: 0% Total Wedding Photographer Cost: $5,000   The Main Point As mentioned, this package offers 10 hours of wedding coverage, but a second photographer will assist as well for the full 10 hours. In addition to all the benefits of The Essential package, you also get 1000 photos instead of 700, and you get to select between 150 4″ x 6″ or 100 5″ x 7″ prints. In the previous post detailing Albert Cheung Photography’s The Essential package, I forgot to mention that you have the option of...

Wedding Photographer Cost: Albert Cheung Photography

I don’t have any hard statistics but from the information I’ve gathered by asking married friends here and there, many say wedding photography is the one area decided to not skimp on, and it was a great decision. To them, it was more important than the venue, the florist, etc. Their reasoning is that after it’s all over, the photos are the main memory of your wedding day, and it makes sense. With that in mind, here is what the cost breakdown looks like for Albert Cheung Photography, a photographer that is quite popular amongst my friends:   Wedding Photographer: Albert Cheung Photography Date Price Quoted: November 2013 Wedding Date Quoted For: 2013 (Saturday) Package Name: The Essential Assistant: No Package Fee: $3,750 Travel Fee: $0 (within a 50 mile radius) Tax: 0% Gratuity: 0% Total Wedding Photographer Cost: $3,750   The Main Point The Essential is Albert Cheung Photography’s base package, offering up to 10 hours of wedding coverage. The package includes at the very minimum 700 retouched...
