Buying Discounted Stamps on Ebay

As I mentioned before, wedding invitations and postage expenses can quickly add up if you are sending out traditional, physical invitations. Not only do you have to pay for the wedding invitation postage, you may also decide to pay for the postage of the RSVP card. Last but not least, you will probably be sending many thank you cards after the wedding, which again requires more postage. If you definitely want your invitations and stamps to be decorative, then read my post regarding wedding stamps and hand cancellation. If you simply want to mail out your wedding invitations via the lowest cost, however, then you might be interested in discounted stamps sold on Ebay. For many reasons (extra inventory or they acquired the stamps cheaper than face value), some Ebay sellers will sell you postage stamps at a discount to face value if you buy in bulk. Bulk doesn’t necessarily mean thousands of stamps either. Here are two listings, for example, of discounted stamps – one is for 1,000...

Save on Wedding Invitations from Invitations By Dawn

Like so many other parts of a wedding, wedding invitations are surprisingly expensive. After all, it’s just paper isn’t it? The funny thing is, if you have a wedding website, most of your guests probably won’t look at the paper invitation for more than a few seconds since they will likely RSVP online and get any necessary details from the website. Nevertheless, I understand that sending out a physical invitation is a tradition, and many couples appreciate the aesthetic nature of invitations. So if you decide to send out wedding invitations, you will have to decide if you want to do it yourself (DIY) or order invitations. And if you decide you’d rather order wedding invitations rather than deal with the hassle of DIY invitations, then you will have to decide which wedding invitation retailer offers the best value. Wedding Paper Divas is probably the best known online wedding invitations store and is certainly a popular choice, but it is also overpriced in my opinion and not a good...

Using Postable to Collect Wedding Guest Contact Information

Nowadays, so many contacts organizers exist. Dozens of apps, email programs, and websites all offer so many features it’s mind-boggling. For simplicity and ease in organizing all your wedding contacts, however, I recommend Postable. After all, wedding planning is complicated enough so unless you enjoy frustration and stress, you probably want to make collecting guest addresses as simple as possible.     Postable Postable doesn’t offer that many features, which is a good thing! You send out links via email to your wedding guests, and they input their phone number, address, etc. That’s it. At that point, if they ever update their contact information in Postable, it will automatically be updated in your address book as well. Postable also allows you to export your contacts in a variety of formats, which makes it easy for printing invitation envelopes or planning table seating in Excel.   The Main Point My fiancĂ©e came across Postable originally, and we both found it very user-friendly. If you don’t plan to use a bloated...

Wedding Stamps and Hand Cancellation

Even in this digital age, physical wedding invitations are still a must for most people. I personally don’t care, but I know a lot of people think e-mail invitations are tacky or not formal enough for such a big occasion. A lot of save-the-dates are now being sent via e-mail but as for the main invite, it’s still pretty much sent via snail mail. So if you are sending physical invitations for your wedding, a good idea would be to get wedding stamps.     First of all, I just want to say that unless you are sending thousands of invites, you’re not going to get a discount at USPS. Wedding stamps are not discounted stamps for sending in bulk or anything like that. They only serve a decorative purpose, since these stamps have either wedding flowers or a wedding cake design. But while you won’t be saving any money, you won’t be paying more money either. They cost the same as the regular forever stamp you buy at...
