Discover It $150 Signup Bonus Has Expired, Open Chase Freedom Quickly

This past month, Chase and Discover went head-to-head competing fiercely in the no annual fee credit card space. My guess is that with Black Friday and the holiday shopping season around the corner, both banks wanted to win as much market share as they could. As I mentioned, Discover It started offering a $150 signup bonus while Chase Freedom started offering a $200 or 20,000 Ultimate Rewards points signup bonus. These signup bonuses are among the highest ever for those two cards, and we knew it was for a limited time only.

Open Chase Freedom

Now that Black Friday is over, it seems the end of these limited time promotions is here, because the Discover It credit card no longer offers  a $150 signup bonus. The Chase Freedom credit card, however, is still offering the special $200 or 20,000 Ultimate Rewards points signup bonus. As a result, I would recommend you to hurry and open Chase Freedom now before that special signup bonus goes away as well.

The Chase Freedom credit card has no annual fee, provides access to the Ultimate Rewards shopping portal, and gives 1% cash back on everything so there really isn’t any downside to opening the card. In fact, keeping the card open will help build your relationship with Chase and improve your credit score.

The Main Point

Open Chase Freedom now before it’s too late, and the special signup bonus goes away!

    • Thanks for sharing the news. The promotion recently expired at the beginning of the month, but I guess it must have returned although I’m not sure if it’s targeted or not. I’m going to do some research to verify and update the relevant posts when I feel relatively confident about the information.
