Trevolta and Crowd-funded Free Honeymoon?

I recently came across Trevolta, a new startup that promotes crowded-funded travels. Like Kickstarter, the concept of Trevolta is to seek Internet funding from people on the Internet who are either inspired by your travel plans or just feeling very generous. Unlike Kickstarter, however, Trevolta focuses solely on travel.

Currently, they are still preparing for their private beta launch, but you can sign up and be placed on the waiting queue. If you then refer three new members, you’ll get $50 off your first trip. Furthermore, the more people you refer, the higher up you’ll move in the waiting queue.

The Main Point

I have no idea if Trevolta will even launch in the near future or not, but I thought it was interesting to highlight anyways. I’ve seen people promote travel projects and ideas on Kickstarter, but Kickstarter is really meant for art, technology, and other creative projects. It’ll be interesting to see if a startup that focuses solely on crowd-funded travel will take off.

In any case, a wedding honeymoon is certainly a worthy cause for crowd-funding especially if you lack the funds but have an inspiring back story. As a result, Trevolta is certainly a startup that wedding couples should keep on their radar.
